EVER FEEL ANGRY??
To help counteract and release difficult emotions such as anger it may help to use my RAIN technique-
R: RECOGNISE strong emotions as they occur.
A: ACKNOWLEDGE and allow the emotion.
I: INVESTIGATE – bringing self- analysis and awareness to the moment eg what am I REALLY angry about, how could I think differently?
N: NON-IDENTIFY/JUDGEMENT – this serves to deflate and to minimise or to increase understanding that the emotion does not make up YOU - the person, but represents a moment in time and a situation.
Just allow the anger to release by breathing it out allowing the storm to pass to be replaced with calm.
